ARIS LIANG

Aris Liang is a Chinese-Canadian cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California and Vancouver, Canada. Aris’s interest in film was sparked at age eight after an illuminating week at a summer camp for young filmmakers, and it’s been full steam ahead ever since. She has worked in the camera and lighting departments in various roles across the West and East coasts on narrative and commercial projects of various scales. As a creative, Aris has a strong interest in genre work and experimenting with visual conventions. She is proficient in digital and analogue formats and owns a Sony FX30, Bolex H16 and Super 8 package.

Aris graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Media Arts Production and a minor in Global and Postcolonial Studies in December of 2025.
